The Oregon State University Internetworks network has been purchased by Amazon.com.
The university announced the deal on Tuesday.
The purchase comes on the heels of Amazon’s acquisition of Oregon-based Oregon Public Broadcasting and Oregon State Public Broadcasting, two independent radio stations.
The new ownership group, known as Amazon Web Services, includes Amazon’s Seattle-based Prime Video, which has been working with local media groups to distribute new shows on the platform.
The move to Amazon comes after Amazon agreed to pay $3 billion for video service Vimeo.
