How to learn to code is the most commonly taught computer skills in schools today, but the concept isn’t always clear.
“The most common coding instruction is that you must memorize the basics of computer programming,” says Scott Rieger, a computer-science professor at Michigan State University.
“There are other ways to learn it, like practice exercises, but most people do not do either.”
How to Learn To Code: An Introduction by Scott Riesger, M.S. in Computer Science, and David Riesgers, Ph.
D., is available now.
For a primer on the basics, check out the first edition, available here.
